Marketing and Communications Professional

As figure3’s ‘go to’ person for communications expertise and know-how, you will be responsible for creating, implementing, and managing external communications to promote figure3 to targeted audiences through various channels. Working closely with the Principals and Vice Presidents, the candidate will represent the ‘voice of Figure3’, building marketing strategy, content, and material to support business development in three key sectors: workplace, retail, and commercial residential development. Duties

  • Create all communications material to ensure a consistent voice and tone for figure3 – capturing key insights in concise headlines, as well as longer articles for print or digital publications
  • Collaborate with internal colleagues to develop strategic content; developing ideas for innovative communications and marketing campaigns across multiple media to help achieve each business sector’s objectives
  • Create and maintain written website content, leveraging stories to promote figure3’s unique capabilities in design research, creative design and project implementation across all sectors
  • Manage figure3’s various social media platforms, as well as social media posts on behalf of key individuals within the organization
  • Coordinate with Principals to create appropriate marketing budgets to help achieve sales goals
  • Create and manage a comprehensive Marketing Calendar and organize figure3’s participation in events and initiatives including but not limited to design awards submissions, speaking engagements, project video/photo shoots, social media campaigns, trade shows and conferences
  • Monitor industry forums, social media conversations and blogs to identify and respond to relevant issues through dialogue with followers of figure3
  • Provide communications support on project opportunities including developing content for sales presentations such as client stories incorporating figure3’s research-based design rationale
  • Provide monthly reports and updates to Principals and Vice Presidents measuring the results of efforts expended on communication and marketing activities
  • Keep figure3 employees informed of communications and marketing initiatives and success stories

Qualifications

Post-secondary degree / diploma in Communications, Business, or other related/relevant program
Minimum 7 years’ experience in external communications

Interior design or architectural industry experience strongly preferred

Excellent written skills – an inventive wordsmith

Demonstrated ability to support business development with marketing and communications activities

Demonstrated ability to manage an authentic brand voice in social media

Experience using relevant technology, analytic and reporting tools
