We are looking to expand our production and contract administration services and require candidates with strong skills and ambitions in contract documentation and contract administration specific to commercial leasehold improvement projects.
The successful applicant will be a graduate of an accredited architectural technology program with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in developing contract documentation packages for complex projects of any scale, as well as practical experience in construction contract administration processes.
Acting as one of figure3’s lead production specialists, you will be responsible to:
Oversee and manage the production of contract documentation packages for permit, tender, and construction in the latest versions of AutoCAD.
Work with in-house designers, construction managers and other consultants to problem solve architectural details.
- Coordinate all consultant drawings against architectural elements to mitigate interferences and ensure the success of the project design as a whole.
- Coordinate working drawing information with the project manual specifications and schedules to ensure the contract documents are compatible.
- Ensure the complete design complies with applicable sections of the latest Ontario Building Code.
- Participate in design team constructability reviews of the project at various points in the design process to mitigate all risks to the project.
- Coordinate and administer stipulated bid tenders including tender invites, addenda, tender analysis, post tender addenda, and award.
- Author and administer all documentation required for project related contract administration, including site instructions, contemplated change notices, change orders, field reports, certificate of payments, certificate of substantial performance, deficiency reviews.
Additional skills that will considered additional assets include:
- Working knowledge of Revit
- Coordination and formatting of project specifications
- LEED accreditation and/or practical knowledge of working on LEED registered projects.
- BCIN registration and/or familiarity with sections 3 and 9 of the Ontario Building Code 2006.
- Experience in workplace, condominium development, and retail environments.

University of college graduate in interior design or architectural program with minimum of 10 plus years’ experience in high profile workplace design.
An experienced senior project designer, you are knowledgeable in the development of workplace strategies and design concepts for mid-size to large corporate projects. In your role as Team Leader you will be responsible to manage project accounts and in-house teams in the development of pre-project workplace assessments, and oversee the development of workplace design strategies for some of Canada’s best known brands.
You have a high level of expertise with space planning, development of workplace standards, creative conceptual development, systems and ancillary furniture solutions, and environmentally responsible materials and finishes selection. You are also adept in coordination of full contract documentation with consulting engineers and construction specialists, working effectively to meet client requirements for budget and schedule through a fluid, collaborative process.

University or college graduate in interior design or architectural program. Must have 2 to 5 years experience in workplace design.
As one of figure3′s workplace designers, you will be responsible to support our corporate design teams, and participate energetically in every phase of our projects: from research and conceptualization to implementation. You are experienced in the preparation of contract documentation utilizing CAD standards, and have successfully implemented a number of small to mid-sized workplace projects from start to finish. AutoCAD skills required.
