Quartz

Part of Concord Adex’s years' long place making initiative in Toronto’s downtown core, Quartz takes a contemporary interpretation of the tower and podium principle.

Modernly visualised taking its cues from its namesake, designing the lobbies and amenity spaces required a design approach that created a dramatic sense of arrival and an ephemeral sense of home.

Multi-faceted design

Taking design cues from the facets of quartz crystal, the ground floor amenities present as playful yet still sophisticated

Communal spaces are conceived as ever-fluid environments where one room merges effortlessly into the next, interior and exterior spaces transition seamlessly to maximize views, and surprising visual elements can be found around every corner.

Otherwise redundant spaces become imaginative and useful. A taxi lobby with direct road access helps ease congestion and creates a natural collision point to meet other residents. A pet spa with direct elevator access provides for the needs of the building’s four-legged residents.
