Surrounded by unique shops and trendy restaurants in Toronto's thriving Leslieville community, the presentation centre for The Poet resonates with creative professionals who appreciate artistic, one-of-a-kind design.
Inspired by period styles from traditional French to mid-century modern, the presentation centre's eclectic aesthetic connects with the community's vibrant culture, with organic materials and modern finishes blending seamlessly to create a sophisticated space that appeals to young buyers.
Our understanding of the target market led us to take a boutique approach to the layout, designing a welcoming, laid back space that draws guests in from the street. The front desk features stools and table lamps, which help to evoke the feeling of a coffee shop or bar, as opposed to a high pressure selling environment. The entrance encourages casual conversation as staff greet guests, while marketing materials such as the building model are placed farther back in the space, signaling an experience-forward rather than sales-forward approach.
A smooth marble reception desk and back wall with textural herringbone strie stone combine with wood floors. Vertical planters are nestled in the “V”s of a contemporary wall sculpture that draws the eye around the space and adds energizing organic elements. Cove lighting and stylish fixtures such as lamps and a statement chandelier create a warm atmosphere in the space.
