Designed with a refined artistic attitude, and with design cues that imbue the project with a connection to the surrounding natural environment, The Poet represents the spirit of Toronto's Leslieville neighbourhood.
The presentation centre's eclectic aesthetic connects with the community's vibrant culture, with organic materials and modern finishes blending seamlessly to create a sophisticated space that appeals to young, creative buyers.
The entrance is a study in contrasts, found in the juxtaposition of warm and cool tones and also in the materials. A neutral colour palette of taupe, cool whites, and warm woods is punctuated with hits of brass metal and deep charcoal.
A smooth marble reception desk and back wall with textural herringbone strie stone combine with wood floors. Vertical planters are nestled in the “V”s of a contemporary wall sculpture that draws the eye around the space and adds energizing organic elements.
The kitchen is modern and architectural with refined detailing and a powerful colour-blocking technique. Its two-tone black and white colour scheme with bold gold accents is rendered in wood and laminate, the perfect contrast to warm finishes on the faucet and stunning light fixture.
The lounge blends modern and traditional elements to create a moody, eclectic feel. This area provides a casual space for customers and staff to sit and talk in a comfortable setting while browsing the finish selections on display.
Warm tobacco leather is accented with bright textiles and backed by fluted wood walls which add a geometric element. The blending of old and new can be found in the marble-topped tables with Victorian bases paired with modern Platner-style chairs. These elements are tied together with a vintage-inspired rug which echoes the colour tones of the space.
