Project Detail

Baker & McKenzie

Our challenge was to assist this topflight law firm in determining their future premises strategy. The team in conjunction with the real estate broker completed an assessment of various scenarios including a stay and renovate, versus relocation to another building. Numerous sites were analyzed to determine the efficiency of the building and costs associated with a stay or go scenario.

Working closely with the internal team, Figure3 evolved the design concept to communicate a modern-thinking global presence for client areas and working practice floors that feel collegial, open and inviting to guests and the law firms’ sought after professionals. To manage project costs, existing exterior lawyers offices were retained with the front of the office was opened up with glazing. Libraries were twinned with coffee areas and collaborative work environments included within the space.

With the decision to stay in place and expand, the team facilitated a series of interactive workshops isolating distinct characteristics to create a unique and ideal client and employee experience.
