Soon to be located in Toronto’s bustling St. Lawrence Market neighourhood, The Saint is designed for those seeking a balanced urban lifestyle in a busy downtown. Inspiration for the project was derived from traditional Japanese design and values, with an emphasis on health and wellness, embodying the core ideals of balance, symmetry and rhythm – a manifestation of ingenuity and forward thinking.
With a mindful approach to everyday life, The Saint possesses a refined simplicity that is at once welcoming and rejuvenating. Japanese-inspired design elements are found throughout the project including natural materials, symmetrical lines, horizontal and vertical patterning, texture, light and “curated” views through techniques of screening and reveal. The double-height lobby sets the mood; peaceful and calming, with biophilic design elements to create an ambience geared to serenity.
An array of amenity offerings elevates the concept of wellness in residential buildings (grouped by similar activity to ensure the programming feels fluid and connected), with suites designed for healthy living. The program includes a wellness centre, featuring a communal rain chromatherapy room with infrared sauna and private spa room with individual soaking tubs, a communal meditation room with a salt rock wall, private meditation rooms, treatment rooms for private sessions with health practitioners such as massage therapists, a fully equipped fitness centre and yoga/Pilates room, a multi-functional party room, a co-working space, and an open-air Zen Garden.
Working with Figure3 on The Saint has been a fantastic experience. Their values, commitment to quality, and collaborative approach are very much in line with Minto’s, and their process is top notch. Together we made the launch of The Saint, from acquisition to sales, the fastest in our company’s history. Figure3 enriched our vision for the community and their thoughtful design is exemplary.
